FAQ

What is Kombucha?

Kombucha is a natural living drink that is produced by the fermentation of tea, sugar and water. A culture of bacteria and yeast converts the sugars into a wide range of organic acids, probiotics, antioxidants and vitamins, that are simply good for your gut! Most people associate the taste of Kombucha with Apple Cider Vinegar, just a little sweeter, with more subtle and interesting flavor options.

How Long Can I Keep For?

For about 4 months in the fridge. However, while it will never spoil due to its low pH, the brew will continue to ferment at a slower rate than at room temperature & becomes sourer over time. It is, otherwise still safe to drink.

Is There Any Alcohol?

Yes, but trace amounts only as it is a natural by-product of fermentation (other foods such as kimchi, kefir or even an overripe banana has some too). Our Kombucha contains no more than 0,5% ABV which is non-inebriating.

How Much Can I Drink?

For first-timers, start with half a glass (150ml) and see how you feel over the next few hours. If the body reacts well, consumption can be increased. If detoxification/distress symptoms occur, reduce intake, drink more water and ease back into Kombucha slowly.
